 One thing that I've been really interested in throughout this process is been how Océanne markets its products. I was able to talk to Océanne's social media manager about how they do this. She said they mainly use Instagram and TikTok to advertise their products. Although she mostly focuses on Instagram since they have a larger following on that platform. 

I was able to help her by modeling and photographing the products. I tried on some of the clothes, jewelry, and bags that are sold in the stores. Oceanne’s social media manager said she likes to film a lot of content at once. This makes it a lot easier on her end since they like to post every day. 


When trying to figure out what to photograph, we looked through Instagram to see what products have not been shown recently. We also tried to find new ways to capture these products. We had to get creative to overcome some obstacles like advertising the forever bracelets. I wasn't able to actually wear a forever bracelet since it required a chain to be welded onto my wrist. it would be time-consuming and wasteful of materials to put the bracelet on to only take it off minutes later.  


We were able to find forever bracelet samples and tape them to my wrist. If we photographed it at the right angle, it looked like any other bracelet. We experimented with different ways to video the bracelets and show to show movement while not letting the camera see the tape. Eventually, we were able to get the content we needed without creating any waste. 



I am very grateful I have been able to have a better understanding of what goes into running a company's social media account. There is a strategy and creative process that takes place in the making of a post. After seeing all of this, I will definitely have a greater appreciation for social media advertisements.
